“Disaster Medicine” is a periodical scientific journal on problems of medical care delivery to population in environment of accidents, catastrophes, natural calamities, epidemics, terror acts and armed conflicts.
The Federal State Budgetary Institution “All-Russian Center for Disaster Medicine “Zashchita” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation is the founder of the Journal.
The periodicity of publication – 4 times a year, the volume is 8,5 printed sheets (68 pages), circulation – 1 000 copies. Distributed by subscription. Subscription index in the United catalogue “Press of Russia” – 18 269. Publication of articles is free of charge.
The journal is published since 1992.
Since 2003, the journal is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications of the State commission for academic degrees and titles (VAK) specialty 05.26.02.
Review method – single-blind peer review.
Since 2008, the journal is presented online and is indexed in the database of Russian science citation index (SCIENCE INDEX)

The Editorial Board of the journal is comprised of scientists and specialists working in the field of disaster medicine in the All-Russian Centre for Disaster Medicine “Zashchita”, Territorial Centres for Disaster Medicine, the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education, EMERCOM, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Defense of Russia; foreign members from Germany and Poland. They include Academicians of RAS, corresponding members of RAS, Doctors of Sciences and Candidates of Medical Sciences. The most of them have the academic title of Professor.
