Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, a foreign member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, a member of the World Association of Emergency and Disaster Medicine (WADEM), the chairman of the section “Disaster Medicine” of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Health of Russia. Laureate of the Russian Government Prize in the field of science and technology; laureate of the national award to the best doctors of Russia “Vocation”. Awarded the Order “For Military Merit”, the Order of “Courage”, the Order “For Services to the Fatherland” IV Art. Prepared 24 doctors and 20 candidates of medical sciences. He made a great contribution to the creation of the All-Russian Service of Disaster Medicine, an effective system of medical provision of the population in emergency situations, the author of more than 500 scientific papers, incl. 15 monographs.
