Summary. The aim of the present study is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the key structural elements and operational principles of modern combat casualty evacuation models. The research is further directed towards the identification and systematization of the principal developmental trends within these models in the context of contemporary armed conflicts.
Materials and methods. The methodological framework of the research is based on a comparative analysis of data pertaining to the organization of medical support in recent conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. The empirical basis includes official reports and doctrinal documents from the defense ministries of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel, as well as proprietary data on medical care provision in emergency situations and during special military operations. The study employs a set of integrated methods, including field observation, analytical synthesis, comparative analysis, and forecasting.
Results and discussion. The results of the analysis reveal the key characteristics of the Israeli and Ukrainian models for the evacuation of wounded military personnel. A detailed examination of the domestic (Russian) organization of medical evacuation is presented, highlighting its specific features. Based on the comparative assessment, the study identifies a range of systemic problems associated with medical evacuation in modern large-scale combat operations, thereby outlining critical areas for further research and doctrinal refinement.
Key words: casualty medical evacuation, injury severity score, Israeli model, large-scale combat operations, models of medical evacuation, special military operation, Ukrainian model, wounded military personnel
