Summary. The purpose of this study is to present experience in managing the medical consequences of a man-made emergency and to analyze the specifics of providing first aid and medical care to victims in Russia’s Arctic territories in order to develop proposals for improvement.
Research materials and methods. We analyzed data from the emergency registration logs of the Unified Dispatch Center of the Komi Republic’s Central Emergency Management Center, ambulance call cards (form 110/u), and a sample of medical records of patients admitted to medical facilities in the Komi Republic for emergency indications as a result of emergencies and who received inpatient medical care (form 003/u) between January 15 and February 17, 2026. The registration forms were selected based on the criteria of retrospective, continuous documentary observation – all medical records of emergency victims who received inpatient treatment during the study period were selected.
