Summary. The purpose of the studywas to analyze the state of methodologicalsupport for regulatorydocumentsonradiationsafetyin the system of statesanitary and epidemiologicalrationing of the RussianFederation, aswell as to discussissues that, in theopinion of the authors, requireconsiderationandsolutionstoensure the radiationsafety of personnelofnuclearenergyfacilities.

The results of the study and their analysis. The development and implementation of methodological documents makes it possible to specify the requirements of regulatory documents on radiation safety of personnel when handling ionizing radiation sources in an industrial environment. However, the existing regulatory and methodological documents on radiation safety practically do not address the issues of the influence of the human factor on the safety of the functioning of radiation-hazardous facilities. To fulfill the main task of ensuring radiation safety – the preservation of human life and health, it is necessary to monitor compliance with safety measures, which is an integral part of the overall production culture. Since nuclear energy facilities are a potential source of risk for man-made emergencies, there is a need to develop regulatory and methodological documents to improve safety culture, assess and manage anthropogenic risks, as one of the main measures to prevent radiation accidents.
