Summary. The objective of the study was to identify and analyze the most significant results of the work of the medical treatment organizations (MTO) of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA of Russia, the Agency) involved in the provision of specialized medical care, treatment, and rehabilitation of military personnel participating in the Special Military Operation (SMO), and to develop and submit proposals for further improvement of these activities in military conflicts.
Materials and methods. The study was conducted at all 25 medical treatment organizations of the Agency, in which a portion of the hospital beds were used to provide specialized medical care, treatment, and rehabilitation of military personnel participating in the SMO in 2023–2025. The study utilized the following: regulatory and other management documents governing the organization of medical care, treatment, and rehabilitation of military personnel participating in the SMO; MTO reporting materials and data from a questionnaire survey of 192 medical specialists, including the management of the medical organizations involved in the activities of the MTO, on which the study was conducted; and scientific publications on the topic of the study.
Research methods include statistical, expert assessment, and analytical methods, generalization and content analysis, and comparative and descriptive methods.
Research results and analysis. The paper presents the most significant indicators characterizing the performance of the Agency’s MTO, which provided medical care, treatment, and rehabilitation, primarily to wounded military personnel participating in the Special Military Operations, from 2023 to 2025. Suggestions are made regarding the feasibility of improving the participation of the FMBA Russia MTO in the overall system of medical evacuation support for wounded and sick military personnel in military conflicts.
