Summary. The objective of the study was to identify possible ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of medical evacuation in metropolitan areas during emergencies involving victims with trauma complicated by hemorrhage.
Research materials and methods. Expert assessment data from specialists developed and a survey was conducted among 9104 individuals across the Russian Federation, who are specialists in the response to the medical consequences of various emergency situations.
Research results and analysis. Medical specialists participating in the study identified a significant number of factors affecting the quality of medical evacuation during emergencies in a metropolitan area. These factors can directly impact the ability to efficiently transport victims with trauma complicated by bleeding to specialized hospitals in the city, thereby improving treatment outcomes. The analysis revealed strengths and weaknesses in medical evacuation of victims in a metropolitan area, identifying certain risks that delay the onset of definitive hemostasis in victims with trauma complicated by internal bleeding. It should be noted that testing medical personnel in disaster medicine is an effective way to assess their knowledge and ability to quickly identify and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations.
