Summary. The objective of the study is to analyze the international activities of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine of the Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (hereinafter – Federal Center for Disaster Medicine, FCDM), the basic organization of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states in the field of organization and provision of medical care in emergency situations.
Materials and methods of research. Regulatory legal acts and methodological documents in the field of international cooperation on disaster medicine, ensuring public health readiness to respond to emergencies, organization and provision of medical care in emergencies; decisions of the CIS Economic Council, the Commission on Economic Issues at the CIS Economic Council, the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Healthcare of the CIS; materials of international events held by the FCDM (conferences, symposiums, command-staff and tactical-special exercises in disaster medicine). The following methods were used to perform the work: historical, direct observation, and analytical.
The results of the study and their analysis. The results of the study and analysis of the international cooperation of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine in the field of disaster medicine within the CIS, the main areas of work of the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine as the basic organization of the CIS in the field of organization and provision of medical assistance in emergency situations are presented.
