It is noted that the improvement of the system of organization and provision of emergency medical care (EMC) and medical evacuation at the regional level is largely dependent on strengthening of the role of medical evacuation (ME) of patients in need of medical care in emergency and urgent forms to medical organizations of the 2nd and 3rd levels. The coordination and management of the EMC and ME system at the regional level, including the solution of inter-hospital and inter-regional ME, is the obligation of the regional center for EMC and disaster medicine, which unites the territorial center for disaster medicine (TCDM), first aid station, and the Department of emergency consulting medical care. The functions and problems solved by the regional center for EMC and disaster medicine are discussed.
The results of the scientific research conducted at the All-Russian Center for Disaster Medicine “Zaschita” by questioning specialists (experts) involved in the organization and provision of EMC in 58 subjects of the Russian Federation are analyzed.
