The actuality is noted of the development of instrumental methods of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and their implementation in the emergency situation environment. The characteristics are presented of the existing mechanical and perspective intelligent mechatronic robotic systems, designed for urgent restoration of circulation within the basic CPR when rendering first aid to emergency victims.

Key words: cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, casualties, emergency situations, first aid, mechatronic apparatus for external compression, robotic complexes
