The Role of Territorial Center for Disaster Medicine in Organizing and Conducting Regional Competitions of Emergency Services Teams of the Omsk Region

Summary. The purposes of the study are to analyze and summarize the organizational and methodological aspects of the activities of the Territorial Center for Disaster Medicine (TCDM) within the framework of the regional competitions for emergency services teams in the Omsk Region with the implementation of control over the participants’ skills in providing first aid to victims of traffic accidents (TA) and other life-threatening conditions.
Materials and methods of research. The research materials include domestic and foreign experience in the preparation and conduct of regional competitions of emergency rescue units, monitoring the development of first aid skills among participants in competitions, as well as improving the practical experience of TCDM employees; regulatory legal acts regulating the preparation of participants for first aid to victims during competitions. Methods used: analytical, formal-legal, formalization, comparison, generalization of experience and normative-legal analysis, narrative, demonstration, training.
The results of the study and their analysis. The methodology of organizing and conducting regional competitions of emergency services teams is presented, with the elaboration of actions to control the training of participants in the competition in providing first aid to victims of road accidents. Particular attention is paid to the development of skills in providing first aid to victims and providing first aid to victims in individuals without medical education.
