A.I. Lobanov – 80 years old
On November 29, 2025, Alexey Ivanovich Lobanov, Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences, retired colonel of the medical service, one of the founders of the scientific school of disaster medicine, developer of the main directions of medical care for the population in emergency situations of peacetime and wartime, turned 80 years old.
After graduating in 1969. At the Dnepropetrovsk Medical Institute, A.I.Lobanov served in the civil defense forces as commander of the medical and sanitary platoon of the mechanized battalion of the civil defense regiment of the military unit (1969-1972), surgeon and head of the polyclinic of the 37th Higher Central Courses of the USSR (1972-1982). Since September 1982, he worked as a teacher, and since 1990, he has been a senior lecturer in the cycle of biomedical disciplines.
In September 1994, A.I.Lobanov was appointed Head of the Department of Biomedical Problems at the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
He defended his PhD thesis in 1995 and his doctoral thesis in 2000.
Alexey Ivanovich Lobanov worked in “hot spots”: in 1988, as part of the operational group of the USSR GO headquarters, he led rescue operations in the earthquake area in Armenia; in 2000, he was a district officer in organizing the work of the territorial administration of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Grozny during the implementation of measures for the primary life support of the population of the Chechen Republic who entered the period of armed conflict.
After completing his military service in 2005, he continued to work at the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia as a professor at the Department of Biomedical and Environmental Protection of the Faculty of Management.
In 2007, he was awarded the Honorary title of “Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation” for his great contribution to the organization of training of senior personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, management bodies and the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations.
A.I.Lobanov is the author and co-author of more than 130 educational, methodological and scientific works, including 3 monographs, 13 textbooks (“Biomedical protection”, “Disaster Medicine”, “Medical support for emergency situations”, “Methodological foundations of safety”, etc.), 12 textbooks on topical issues of medical provision of the population in emergency situations. His PhD and doctoral dissertations were defended under his supervision.
Alexey Ivanovich Lobanov has been a member of the editorial board and a reviewer of the journal “Disaster Medicine” for many years.
Lobanov’s military work was awarded the Order of Honor, many medals of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Badge of Merit and medals of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The command of the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the staff of the Department of Biomedical and Environmental Protection of the Faculty (senior staff) of the Academy, the editorial board and the editorial board of the journal “Disaster Medicine”, friends and colleagues cordially congratulate Alexey Ivanovich Lobanov on his anniversary, wish him good health, happiness and further creative success!
