The risk assessment of importation of wild polio virus to the territory of some subjects of the Russian Federation is given. It is noted that the quantitative assessment of the risk of importation and spread was carried out in accordance with the method of scoring internal and external risks, developed on the basis of the document of the World Health Organization. Risk factors of the importation of the virus and factors contributing to the development of polio outbreak in the case of importation of the pathogen were determined. All subjects were assessed for each of these factors, depending on the degree of its activity in the area. Following the study, all subjects were divided into 3 categories: high, medium and low risk of importation and spread of the virus.

Key words: risk of importation and spread, score, subjects of the Russian Federation, wild polio virus
