VERIFICATION VISIT OF EXPERTS OF WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION TO CENTER FOR DISASTER MEDICINE OF SALUZZO, PIEDMONT, ITALY Download the article in pdf format

The results of the verification visit of experts of the World Health Organization (WHO) to the Center for disaster medicine in Saluzzo, Piedmont Region, Italy are presented. The purpose of the visit was to check the compliance of the hospital of the Center with the basic and technical standards established by the WHO for the certification of International medical emergency response teams. The issues considered: the contents of the WHO standards specified, the structure of the hospital, the procedure of its deployment and operation on event site, etc. It is noted that the hospital was awarded the status of “International medical emergency response team of the 2nd type” following the visit of the WHO experts.
