Abstract. An overview of the materials of the interdisciplinary conference devoted to the problems of medical care for children in the environment of terrorist acts and emergency situations is presented. The reports comprehensively covered both organizational aspects of the topic under discussion (development of the emergency medical service, of pediatric units of the Service for disaster medicine) and the issues of emergency medical care in case of mass admission of injured children (resonant emergencies in Beslan and Kerch) and adults (explosions in Mozdok, St. Petersburg, Volgograd). Leading military surgeons analyzed the experience of providing medical care to the wounded with gunshot and mine-explosive wounds and explosive injuries.

Key words: children, disaster medicine, emergencies, emergency medical care, military field surgery, terrorist acts
